Retimitate® is a brand-new retinoid, and a world first for SkinMed, giving you all the benefits of the most potent form of retinoid – Retinoic Acid (vitamin A) – but now without all those well documented side effects, such as irritation, redness, skin flaking and photosensitivity.

As we know, retinoic acid is the active form of Vitamin A; other retinoids, such as retinaldehyde, retinol, proretinol, retinyl palmitate, are less irritating but have to convert to retinoic acid to become active, losing potency with each conversion.

Retimitate® is different.

Retimitate® does not need to convert to become active and doesn’t have the same side effect profile as Retinoic Acid; molecule for molecule, in terms of its optimisation of skin cell function, it imitates retinoic acid (hence Retimitate®) to offer outstanding results.
